Asset

Property owned by a person or company, regarded as having value and available to meet debts, commitments, or legacies.
Example: He has many assets.

Balance sheet

It refers to a financial statement that reports a company's assets, liabilities, and shareholder equity at a specific point in time.
Example: When the internet shut down, the accountant lost the balance sheet he was filling out.

Bank details
noun
Details such as bank name, account number, etc., which uniquely identify a bank account, and are used when making or receiving a payment, now especially electronically.
Example: Desjardins employees have access to our bank details.

Bank reconciliation

A bank reconciliation is the process of matching the balances in an entity's accounting records for a cash account to the corresponding information on a bank statement.
Example: I made a mistake in the bank conciliation I did last month.

noun
Bankruptcy is a legal proceeding involving a person or business that is unable to repay their outstanding debts.
Example: Several small businesses went bankrupt due to the pandemic.

It refers to the net amount of cash and cash equivalents being transferred in and out of a company.
Example: The manager would like to look at the cash flow statement.

Dividend
noun
A sum of money paid regularly (typically quarterly) by a company to its shareholders out of its profits (or reserves).
Example: I received 30$ of dividend from Canadian Tire yesterday.

Expense
noun
A cause or occasion of spending.
Example: The company has several expenses to come from the purchase of a building.

Financial contribution
noun
Bringing money into the company.
Example: The owner of the company made a financial contribution of $3000.

Fix cost
noun
A type of expense, fixed costs do not change from month to month.
Example: Hydroquebec is a fix cost.

Macroeconomics is a science of global economics.
Example: We learn macroeconomics in our economics classes.

Net income
noun
In business and accounting, net income is an entity's income minus cost of goods sold, expenses, depreciation and amortization, interest, and taxes for an accounting period.

Return on investment

Return on investment (ROI) measures the efficiency of an investment, including the amount of return on an investment relative to its cost.
Example: Last year, we had a big return on investment compare to our competitor.
