Accounting

Example: Households accumulate wealth across a broad spectrum of assets.

Balance Sheet
A statement of the assets, liabilities, and capital of a business or other organization at a particular point in time, detailing the balance of income and expenditure over the preceding period.
Example: The balance sheet provides a static picture of the financial position at a point in time.

Brand positioning
Noun.
Brand positioning is the way you differentiate yourself from your competitors and how consumers identify and connect with your brand.
Example: The unique and defendable point of difference is the heart of the brand positioning statement.

Cash flow
Noun.
The total amount of money being transferred into and out of a business, especially as affecting liquidity.
Example: The Company will continue its efforts to generate positive operating cash flow throughout the balance of fiscal 2001.

Fixed costs

Business costs, such as rent, that are constant whatever the quantity of goods or services produced.
Example: Their retail branches are a fixed cost, so the more business they put through them the better.

Example: At first glance, mix music may seem to be a musical compromise - a crossover marketing strategy to capture the interests of diverse listeners

The degree to which a business or activity yields profit or financial gain.
Example: It gives the company a sustainable profitability.
