Average
Noun
An average is the result that you get when you add two or more numbers together and divide the total by the number of numbers you added together.
Example: The average price of goods rose by just 2.2%.

Boundary conditions
It´s a phrase
Boundary condition is defined such that the velocity on the walls is equal to zero and the initial condition is defined as a prescribed pressure difference between inlet and outlet (along the x-axis).
Example: Boundary conditions (b.c.) are constraints necessary for the solution of a boundary value problem.

Emissivity
Noun
Emissivity is defined as the ratio of the energy radiated from a material's surface to that radiated from a perfect emitter, known as a blackbody, at the same temperature and wavelength and under the same viewing conditions.
Example: Emissivity is defined as the measure of infrared energy radiated from an object.

Energy balance
Phrase
In a similar manner, we can state the law of conservation of energy, which states that all energy entering a process is equal to that leaving plus that left in the process. In this section, elementary heat balances will be made. This is generally called a heat balance.
Example: An energy balance is a consideration of the energy input, output, and consumption or generation in a process or stage.

Heat conduction equation
Phrase
Heat conduction or transfer of energy in the form of heat by conduction is a process of heat transfer based on direct contact between bodies and now this will be represented by means of the mathematical formula.
Example: The heat conduction equation helps to determine the heat loss in a room.

Heat flux

Heat flux is defined as HαΔT, where H is the heat transfer coefficient in W/m2 K, A is the active surface area in m2, ΔT is the temperature difference in K between the available and required temperatures.
Example: Heat Flux is the rate of heat energy that passes through a surface.

Insulation
Noun
Insulation is the process of keeping heat, sound, or electricity from spreading.
Example: The animal's thick fur provides very good insulation against the arctic cold.

Internal energy

Internal energy is defined as the energy associated with the random, disordered motion of molecules.
Example: U is the most common symbol used for internal energy.

Midsection
Noun
The middle section or part of anything.
Example: The taxi driver comes out of the shower, wet, with a towel wrapped about his midsection.

Negligible
Noun
An amount or effect that is negligible is so small that it is not worth considering or worrying about.
Example: The pay that the soldiers received was negligible.

Thermal conductivity
Phrase
Thermal conductivity (often denoted by k, λ, or κ) refers to the intrinsic ability of a material to transfer or conduct heat.
Example: Thermal conductivity occurs through molecular agitation and contact, and does not result in the bulk movement of the solid itself.

Thermal diffusivity

Thermal diffusivity is defined by the relation of the heat conduction coefficient λ and the heat storage capability ρ·cp.
Example: Thermal diffusivity describes the rate of temperature spread through a material.

Thermal symmetry

A heat transfer problem that is symmetric about a plane, line, or point is said to have thermal symmetry about that plane, line, or point.
Example: The thermal symmetry boundary condition is a mathematical expression of this thermal symmetry.

Adjective
The quality of being thick.
Example: Paper thickness is important for printing.

Transient
Adjective
A sequela is of a transitory nature when, once caused, it subsequently disappeared, lost its ostensible character or became discreet, and/or the function has been recovered, due to the improvement that occurred by the mere passage of time or by a treatment already carried out.
Example: He says he had transient thoughts of dying his hair blue but never acted upon them.
