Actor
Noun
A person whose profession is acting on the stage, in movies, or on television.
Example: I am an actor, I play in this movie.

Cinematographer
Noun
A cinematographer or director of photography is the chief over the camera and light crews working on a film, television production or other live action piece and is responsible for making artistic and technical decisions related to the image.
Example: Annie is a cinematographer.

Feature film
Noun
A feature film, feature-length film, or theatrical film is a film with a running time long enough to be considered the principal or sole film to fill a program.
Example: This is a featured film.

Film director
Noun
A film director is a person who directs the making of a film. A film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the screenplay (or script) while guiding the technical crew and actors.
Example: I am the film director of this movie.

Film editing
Noun
On its most fundamental level, film editing is the art, technique and practice of assembling shots into a coherent sequence. The job of an editor is not simply to mechanically put pieces of a film together, cut off film slates or edit dialogue scenes.

Film producer
Noun
A film producer is a person who oversees film production. Either employed by a production company or working independently, producers plan and coordinate various aspects of film production, such as selecting the script; coordinating writing, directing, and editing; and arranging financing.
Example: John is a film producer.

Foley
Noun
Foley is the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added to films, videos, and other media in post-production to enhance audio quality.
Example: The foley is very good.

Head room
Noun
The head room is the space between the top of a subject's head and the top of the screen frame.
Example: There's too much head room.

High-angle shot
Noun
A high-angle shot is a cinematic technique where the camera looks down on the subject from a high angle and the point of focus often gets "swallowed up".

Low-angle shot

In cinematography, a low-angle shot, is a shot from a camera angle positioned low on the vertical axis, anywhere below the eye line, looking up.

Movie theater

A theatre where people pay to watch films.
Example: I am going to the movie theater.

Panning
Noun
In cinematography and photography panning means swivelling a still or video camera horizontally from a fixed position. This motion is similar to the motion of a person when they turn their head on their neck from left to right.
Example: Can you do a panning?

Perspective
Noun
In cinema, the objective perspective conveys information as if from an omniscient point of view; there is no emotional emphasis on a character's perspective. Conversely, the subjective perspective grounds the scene in the mental or emotional perspective of a particular character

Rack Focus
Noun
A rack focus in filmmaking and television production is the practice of changing the focus of the lens during a shot. The term can refer to small or large changes of focus. If the focus is shallow, then the technique becomes more noticeable.

Short film
Noun
A short film is any motion picture not long enough in running time to be considered a feature film. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits".

Special effect

Special effects are illusions or visual tricks used in the theatre, film, television, video game and simulator industries to simulate the imagined events in a story or virtual world.

Sreenplay
Noun
A screenplay, or script, is a written work by screenwriters for a film, television program, or video game. These screenplays can be original works or adaptations from existing pieces of writing.

The oscar

One of a set of prizes given each year in the US to the best film, the best male and female actor in any film, and to other people involved in the production of films

Tracking shot
Noun
A tracking shot is any shot where the camera follows backward, forward or moves alongside the subject being recorded.
Example: I am going to do a tracking shot

Zooming in filmmaking and television production refers to the technique of changing the focal length of a zoom lens during a shot.
