Example: COMPETENCY: The paramedic cannot afford a big mistake, he has people's lives in his hands. If they don't know the correct dosage of medication it could have serious repercussions on a patient.
DIGNITY: If a patient has just vomited on himself because of food indigestion, the paramedic may suggest that the patient change clothes before going to the hospital so that he is more comfortable.
IMPARTIALITY: If you arrive at a scene and the victim is the man who cheated on your wife, you should still give him the care he deserves. No matter what the situation, the paramedic must be fair to everyone.

The vital signs allow us to see the stability of the patient and to be able to quickly notice things that are not normal.
