This glossary is made by grade 11B students (Room 2: Shahd Hatem, Hala Khalid, Sara Emad, Bahja Hassan, Maria Angelica) of Al Zuhour Private School discussing natural science and its different fields.
astronomy

the branch of science which deals with celestial objects, space, and the physical universe as a whole.
Example: Their research centred around traditional concepts such as mechanics, optics, astronomy and planetary motion.

the study of living organisms, divided into many specialized fields that cover their morphology, physiology, anatomy, behaviour, origin, and distribution.
Example: Whilst a speech therapist will need a knowledge of psychology, medicine, biology and anatomy, together with clinical skills and counselling skills, it is their linguistic training that will enable them to make accurate and detailed linguistic descriptions of the patient's communicative abilities and enable them to measure the effectiveness of the treatment.

the branch of science concerned with the substances of which matter is composed, the investigation of their properties and reactions, and the use of such reactions to form new substances.
Example: By altering the different stages of the fabrication process and etching chemistry allowed the geometry of the silicon needles to be changed.

Example: I think the book is a wonderful introduction to geology, providing much insight into the field but it is by no means a substitute for modern day text books.

Example: There is a section on the history and evolution of Greenpeace that has a general timeline but it is only updated till year 2002.

the sciences concerned with the study of living organisms, including biology, botany, zoology, microbiology, physiology, biochemistry, and related subjects.
Example: Along with these skills a relevant degree is required such as a degree in life science and experience is essential.

Example: fundamental similarities between the morphology and genetic content of eukaryotic organelles, and that of primitive prokaryotes.
