A person who buys and sells goods or assets for others.
Example: During the war Wallas became a power broker in governmental circles.

An unsolicited visit or telephone call made by someone trying to sell goods or services.
Example: I did over 1000 cold call this weekend.

A raw material or primary agricultural product that can be bought and sold, such as copper or coffee.
Example: Water is a precious commodity.

A person or company that undertakes a contract to provide materials or labor to perform a service or do a job.
Example: The school meals service is provided by private contractors.

A company or group of people authorized to act as a single entity (legally a person) and recognized as such in law.
Example: The corporation owns the water supply, public baths and wash-houses and the gasworks.

A small partitioned-off area of a room, for example one containing a bed in a dwelling or one containing a desk in an office.
Example: Each cubicle is equipped with a PC and printer, and there are two fax machines in the east alcove.
