7 reasons why the effect humans have had on the amazon rainforest is leading to its death

The amazon is the world's biggest rainforest and therefore one of the world's biggest ecosystems. The rainforest is home to a lot of life and the negative effect that humans have had has already caused some of this life to disappear forever. We as people need to protect the forest and ensure that the environment thrives. The forest isn't just a place for bugs and animals it's a place that keeps us all alive just by existing, and that's why it shouldn't be carelessly destroyed. For animals and some people, the Amazon rainforest is a home and that home should be respected like everyone else's.

1. The Amazon Rainforest is home to over 3 million species

The Amazon is currently one of the world's largest ecosystems and is beautiful in every way. It is home to many different species of reptiles, birds, mammals, amphibians, and a lot of insects. All these different animals and species contribute to the liveliness that people say you can immediately feel from the Forrest. The amazon rainforest has one of the world's most complex food chains, which makes it delicate and easy to unbalance.

2. The Amazon is composed of one-third of the world's tropical trees.

The Amazon rainforest spans 2.1 million square miles almost every inch is covered by telling beautiful tropical trees. No other rainforest in the world comes close to its size, so the amount of trees and foliage there of course has to match that. There are an estimated 40,000 different plant species that make up the ecosystem. It's even said that you can't feel the rain from a storm until ten minutes after the storm starting because of how dense the foliage is. Trees aren't a thing that you can easily replant and replace they take a lot of time to grow, so once there gone there gone.

3. Over 30 million people call the Amazon Rainforest home

Animals and plants aren't the only things that call the Amazon home. The amazon is home to about 500 different tribes of indigenous people. These people have lived in the amazon for generations and are adamant about staying in the beautiful area they call home. These people live off the land and what it provides so by destroying the forest people are endangering their way of life.

4. Some of the plants found in the forest are life saving.

A lot of the medicines we use to treat people come from plants. The Amazon has the world's largest variety of plants, so of course, it would be a good source of medicinal plants. Tribes there have used them for generations before the public started to use them. Many might still be undiscovered so the forest must be kept in tack.

5. The Amazon is actively fighting global warming

Global warming is a serious problem that the world has to deal with and the destruction of the rainforest only makes the problem worse. The amazon is a big contributing factor to the greenhouse efrfect being under control. The natural cycle of the trees keeps the level of greenhouse gases down effectivly slowing the rate of global warming. So by distroying the trees we are only hurting ourselves in the long run.

6. The burning of the Forest benefits no one

The burning of the rainforest truly benifits no one at all. Yes it frees up land but the land is useless, it cant be planted on because the ash poisins the soil, so what is the point. The burning of the trees also contributes directly for carbon poisoning and the destruction of the ozone layer. The ozone layer is the protective layer in atmosphere that protects from the harmful rays of the sun that are causing the plantet to become warmer.

7. Saving the endangered animals

Its sad how many species of plants, animals and insects have already gone estinct due to the destruction of the amazon so we shoudl ensure that no more living things meet the same fate. Exstinction isnt something you can come back from but there is still time for the species that are endangered. At the current rate of destruction these species will not make it and many others will meet the same horrible fate.

Conclusion

The Amazon rainforest is to important of a ecosystem to its inhabitants and the world to just let greedy people continute to destroy it. For the sake of all the animals and humans that call the Amazon home its destruction has to stop. Extintion is a very real thing for the life of the amazon and it isnt something that can be reversed.
