1. Sleeping Habits

A person that suffers from chronic insomnia or other sleeping problems can consume Marijuana to help and subdue their issues. Their mind might be active all night and thinking of problems in their life or impossible scenarios that might never happen. It could also be that their muscles feel active and they feel the need to keep on moving. I find it hard to sleep at night as my mind keeps running with thoughts but after a couple of minutes, I’m out cold to get a good night’s rest.

2. Eating Habits

Another problem people can have is being picky with what they eat or don’t feel the sensation of hunger even after not eating for serval hours. It could also be a disease or treatment for the said disease that doesn’t allow them to eat. I can’t seem to get on a regular eating schedule and only tend to eat one meal a day even though I’m up for 18 hours of the day. It always seems to do the trick and allows me to eat twice a day to give me energy.

3. Pain relief

Pain relief also can be alleviated from the use of Marijuana and bring relief to the user. A person suffering from cancer, bone pain, or nerve pain can find relief from their pain despite having tried different types of opiates. It could also be the alternative to the opioid epidemic that is an even worse and more real drug problem that affects the country despite them being legal medically. I also suffer sharp headaches and joint pain and I feel so relieved when it goes away and feel that I can move on with my day.

4. Stress relief

The use of Marijuana can also alleviate mental and emotional pain from stress or mental illnesses. After a heavy workday, it can be hard to unwind or your mental health makes you feel a range of emotions the use can relieve that pain. I personally struggle with some mental health issues and I find it easier to cope with my day and end my day especially if it was a hard one.

5. Job industry

The benefits can not only be for health but also for the economy as the legalization of Marijuana can create thousands of jobs. There needs to be people for the cultivation, sales, transportation, marketing, and production that can also pay a livable wage. I have been offered a lot of jobs to work in dispensaries and become a part of a marketing team as a photographer/ social media promoter. They also paid a wage of 20- 35 dollars an hour that sounded amazing to me but the pandemic happened and the opportunity disappeared.

6. Tax revenue

The revenue that legal marijuana sales can bring in is quite a large amount that can go fund many things society needs. Those funds can be used to improve schools in need of money, provide more services to the homeless, and fund mental health services for the public. I have always gone to public schooling growing and now that I’m older realized how money was always a problem as there was never enough to fund extra circular activities or school supplies could never be obtained so, all this funding could really change the future of education for children.

7. Decrease criminal activity

Finally, the black market that supplies the illegal Marijuana is an unregulated and shady world. This leads to problems when the product is cut with harmful chemicals or subsites that should not be ingested by the human body. There are also the people that sell and transport the products that have to avoid the law while also having to watch their back from the opposition that leads to shootouts. I have seen how the young criminal world starts due to the illegal money marijuana dealing can bring in that gets them caught up with police and destroys their life at a young age with an arrest on their record. The legalization would eliminate the black market and regulate the legal market.
