4 Websites Everyone in Police Technology Should Know About

This listicle was created for all my fellow students that are studying Police Technology. I have been studying Police Technology for a year now, and over time my teachers shared some really helpful websites, and I found some that really saved my life. Now, I would like to give back and share them with any other students that might need it! Whether you are graduating soon or you are just starting in the program these tools could really help you complete your assignments or help your general understanding of many topics related to our field of study. Additionally, some of these websites can help you prepare for the next step after CEGEP.

1. Educaloi: A Starting Point to Understand Any Legal Information

Educaloi is a charitable organization that has been giving access to and explaining diverse topics since 2000. For any Police Technology student Educaloi is one of the first tools you should use. This website is super handy because it explains laws, rights and responsibilities in a complete but simpler way so that you can understand easily. This website focuses on three main subjects which are legal information, legal communication and legal education. This website is higher on my list because it explains the basics of many important subjects we will study in a complete way. It’ll help you solidify your bases.

2. Civil Code of Quebec

Provided by Publications Quebec, the Civil Code of Quebec online can be useful in many ways. First of all, if any modifications have been made in any articles (which is frequent), you can see where and when they have been made. Also, it is great if you forget your paper version at home or if you don’t want to buy the paper version. Furthermore, it's very useful since you can use the search bar to look for specific information which means you don't always have to search it in your paper version.

3. Criminal Code

Provided by the Government of Canada, the Criminal Code online is a great tool for a couple of different reasons. If you forget your paper copy or you simply didn’t want to buy it, the online version can be a lifesaver. It’s also advantageous because if any modifications have been made, which is pretty frequent, you will see when and where they have been made. Finally, it’s super time-saving because you can simply use the search bar to look for any specific topic and you won’t have to look in your paper version.

4. The National Police School of Quebec

Provided by the National Police School of Quebec directly, this website is great if you want to prepare for what’s coming after CEGEP. In the section, Police Officer Candidate not only will you learn how you can apply and how everything works, but you will also get all the information regarding all the tests you will have to undergo. This website is in the last position because it'll be more useful in the future, but it can still be handy if you want to prepare in advance for what's coming next.
