I am a very curious and empathetic person, which are two quality that makes a good student for this subject. I love to have this privilege of proximity with someone and helping them to fix their personal problem. Even though the sentiment of helping others is a big factor to why I want to become a psychologist, I can't deny that the salary is also a good factor to why I want this profession when I grow up. In Quebec, psychologist's start their first year at approximately $65 000. The salary depends also on which place you practice your profession, such has in hospitals, in education, in correctional services and of course, the most common to people, in a private bureau. A good thing to know is that psychologist are the doctors that are the less paid in Quebec, which makes migration in other provinces of Canada a usual profesional trip. Psychologist, being even less paid than regular doctors, are also underpaid if you compare the province of Quebec to the rest of Canada.

3. Learn Every Day!

The perks of being a psychologist was that it's a very versatile profession. If you are a psychologist in a bureau, you can also to research and create theories with other mental health professionals. You can also teach psychology to University and Cegep. Psychology is a relatively new science that is yet to be explored. There are a lot of studies in that domain in order to better understand the complexity of humans.

Even though it's a rough path and you have to study for a long time ( from seven to twelve years), it's a great program for anyone that desire to help people for a living.
