How do you define the job?

Imagine an enterprise that doesn't know its financial situation and has nothing to know about it. This means that the enterprise will have difficulties finding funding. For me, an accountant ensures that everything is OK in the enterprise by registering information related to the operations of the business in a system. This assures that the enterprise will have the right information when needed. Being the worker who knows how to register information, he works with accounting software where all the information is stored and can be analyzed easily. He settles the accounts and takes care of taxes.

How many years of experience have you had in finance?

I have been interested in finance when I was 15 years old. The world of business and all the variants in this world truly fascinated me, but the financial aspect was what I preferred. My first real experience with finance is when I started my accounting and management techniques and the first semester captivated my motivation. I have worked in finance was summer of 2020 in my internship.

Describe your prior experience as accountant?

When I started my internship last summer, I was introduced to the working environment of an accountant. The day-to-day tasks were fascinating and captivating. I registered payable and receivable accounts in the accounting software. I have also helped in the billing department and the administrative assistant. It has been a great experience.

What was your earliest work experience?

I started my work experience as a babysitter. My parents really wanted me to do something to pass time other than play video games and play with my friends. My mom had a friend who needed a babysitter. She suggested to me the idea and I accepted it to make some money. Even if it were my first job, I was very autonomous and responsible. It has been really beneficial for me.

What does being accountant mean to you?

Being an accountant means helping enterprises organize their information so their growth is faster and safer. An accountant is one of the most valuable assets of an enterprise by saving a lot of money and time. He is essential for the enterprise.

When have you worked in a team before?

I worked with a team in all of my last jobs. I worked 2 years and a half at Tim Hortons and 2 years and a half in a factory. In both of them, I worked with a team. I always loved working in teams and I believe people like working with me because of my sense of organization and my determination.
