How do you define the job?

A salesperson is someone who will have to interact with the clientele and who generally don't have a fixed workplace


How many years of experience have you had in sales?

I have three years of customer service, I've worked at a convenience store, at Canac and a library.


Describe your prior experience as salesperson?

At Canac, I was selling gazebos, lawnmower, shovel and all the stuff you need to renovate your house. I was dealing with nice and angry clients and this job allowed me to be at ease with the clientele.


What was your earliest work experience?

At the library of the Cegep of Thetford, I take care of the reservation, the lamination of the new books and the phone calls for set up meetings with the clients. I always do my job right and in time!


How did you motivate an underperforming team to achieve its goals?

I pontificate the steps to create a path to follow. Also, I set up the goals itself to allow us to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I speak regularly with the teams to not give up.


In what ways have you exceeded expectations in the past?

My bosses gratified me when I wasn't expecting it. I did a nice review with a client and the boss saw and upgrade in my work ethic.


What makes you different from other candidates?

I am different because I want to work at the job I apply. I don't come backwards at work, and I am always willing to participate and innovate.


What does being salesperson mean to you?

Being salesperson mean to me that you are the image of the bussiness, you have to interact with the client and a bad service lead to a bad reputation.


When have you worked in a team before?

I work in team at Canac, we had to take inventory of a lot of stocks in the warehouse, and we had to cooperate to be efficient in our jobs.


What kind of people do you not work well with?

The kind of people who won't take advice of any coworkers and who will boss you around.


How do you react to criticism?

If the criticism is neutral and objective, I'll be happy to feedback myself! Bad criticism will always lead to litigation.


What kind of environment do you feel most comfortable?

An environment of pressure, when the job needs to be done in a short amount of time, I'll be at one hundred percent and concentrate to perform.


Tell me about how you plan your daily activities?

I take notes before the realization of tasks to remind myself how, when and where the job needs to be done.


How would you approach a task you have never done before?

I'll ask questions if I have the feelings of, but before I try my best to do the task right.


What did you do to learn the ropes at a previous job?

I inform myself about the rules and the politics of the business. I ask questions if I feel it necessary.


Tell me about a time when you were able to convince someone.

I convince someone in the purchase of a gazebo. The client wasn't sure and I explain to him the advantage of it and why he should buy it.


How do you convince someone to change their mind?

Create a list of the pros and cons of a situation will allow someone to evaluate what is important for him.


How would you be of value to our company?

I'll bring a nice energy and motivation to the table. Also, I invest myself in projects until it's done right.


How do you see yourself contributing to our team?

I'm a hardworking person who perseveres to produce the best result possible.
