Taking care of the accounting in a company is like taking care of the health of a person. The healthier she is, the longer she will live. When a company's finances are up to date and it knows where it's going, all employees can do their jobs in a good working environment. So, my job is to keep the whole company healthy, that's how I see it.
I'm a graduate in accounting and management techniques, so, I don't have a year of real business experience. However, my husband has been in business since 2017 and I take care of the accounting for his company. I take care of taxes every three months and keep a record of all his income and expenses.
My first work experience was as a damage insurance broker. I made quotes for cars, homes, businesses, and farms. I made changes in files, policy renewals and I also took care of taking information in the event of a claim. Yes, insurance knowledge is very important, but customer service is the most important thing, because if customers don't feel like they can count on you, you will never be successful in this area.
This is my experience with customer service for over 20 years. When I have to negotiate with suppliers or customers, I know what to do. When I take on a job, I always work as if the company is mine, so I make every effort to ensure its success.
In damage insurance, we often work as a team. One person may be better at talking to customers, another at researching the best product to suggest to the customer, so you share the work and it's teamwork that makes it successful.
I work well in a place where the work climate is pleasant. We all need to see smiles in the morning on entering, to laugh during a break, and to be able to feel that my presence is appreciated.
In the morning, I always take a few minutes to plan my day. I learn about things to do today and assess emergencies to do them first. Afterwards, I do what is mandatory and I end with what is less urgent.
