How do you define the job?

For me, accounting is important because it allows the company in question to keep a clear order in their payment, bill, and stock. Accounting can also provide an account of the company's financial situation.

How many years of experience have you had in management ?

I'm in my last year of school in accounting and Management at cegep. I have been studying in this field since 2018 and I will graduate in May 2021. Last summer, I worked for the first time in a business as an accounting technician for 15 weeks.

Describe your prior experience as accounting technician?

Last summer I worked for a business as an accounting technician for 15 weeks. I only work 15 weeks because it was an internship. Also, in a month, I am doing another internship in another business.

What was your earliest work experience?

My first job was washing trucks, doing office cleaning and painting. I also mowed the land of some of my neighbors.

How did you motivate an underperforming team to achieve its goals?

Last years, I was a coach for a pee-wee hockey team. During a tournament final, we lost by three goals after two periods. All the players were discouraged in the locker room. To motivate them, I said it was our last game in this tournament and that they had to give it all. I also fixed some short-term goals, example, we have to shoot at least 5 shots in the first 5 minutes of the third period. We have to do short presence, maximum 45 seconds. So, at the end, we scored three goals in the third period, but we lost in overtime. But, our teams achieve the short-term goals, and we did a big comeback.

In what ways have you exceeded expectations in the past?

I exceeded expectations because I achieve my goals to play one game in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Normally, the players in this league, play their first game at 16 or 17 years old. It is rare for a player to play his first game at 18 years old, but I did.

What makes you different from other candidates?

I am a leader, a patient person and I like when the job is well-done. I am also a methodical person.

What does being accounting technician mean to you?

It means to me to work in something I really like. Also, my father, my aunt and my grand father work in accounting, so it's part of the family.

When have you worked in a team before?

I always work in a team. Since I was five years old I play for different teams, I played in Beauce, Lévis and Thetford.

What kind of people do you not work well with?

I don't work well with people who only does as their pleases. When one person doesn't consult other, I don't like it.

How do you react to criticism?

The criteria do not touch me, I left it out.

What kind of environment do you feel most comfortable?

In an environment where people have fun, everyone helps and the work advance.

Tell me about how you plan your daily activities?

I always plan my activities before, like one day or one week, depend on the extent of the activities.

How would you approach a task you have never done before?

First, I will go and get as much information as I can. I'm going to talk to people who have more experience and I'm going to focus on the task.

What did you do to learn the ropes at a previous job?

I asked question to my college, I noticed what they did and how they did the job.

I started by understanding his point f view and I demonstrate mine. I used several elements to make my point of view stronger.

How do you convince someone to change their mind?

I try to make him understand my point of view, calmly with positive effect.
