How do you define the job?

I think that the job of a business manager, is the kind of job that all businesses need to make sure everyone is organized and know where to go. A business manager is the big brain of a team that relay the information to right people, so they know what to do. Let's not forget that the business manager is also the person who's in charge of motivate the employees.

How many years of experience have you had in business?

In a business, 1 year and a half. But in general, 8 years.

Describe your prior experience as a business manager?

Imagine being a soccer referee, and having to manage 25 kids plus 4 adults, just to have an interesting game. You need to earn the respect and trust really fast from every single person on the field to validate your credibility in your calls. And I have been referring for the past 8 years. I have also been a good manager at school for the past 4 years and a good manager for my 2 soccer teams for the past 4 years.

What was your earliest work experience?

I don't think I'm a hard worker, only because I don't need to work hard to get things done. I like to do my work well to get the result done. I don't need to start again every hour. Once I start something, I work well-enough to get it done in time.

How did you motivate an underperforming team to achieve its goals?

I usually like to take the time to discover personally people I work with, because then I will know what to tell them to motivate them. Every person is different, so you need to know what to say to a person and what not to say to another. That's a major thing a lot of people forget.

In what ways have you exceeded expectations in the past?

Imagine playing soccer and in a league of 10 teams you're the worst one. Well, I managed to motivate my teammates enough that we were able to win the game against the best team, only because everyone wanted to achieve the same goal as me, and they saw the motivation.

What makes you different from other candidates?

I think what differentiates myself from others is my charisma and my passion for inter-relationships. I am passionate about making a team as transparent and communicative as me.

What does being a business manager mean to you?

For me, being a business manager means to be the resource person that everyone look up to for a good advice, for answers or just to talk with. I think it's very important to take time for your employees, because if you don't they won't take time to apply themselves to do their work.

When have you worked in a team before?

Yes, I am! I love working in team. Exchanging ideas and debating. I love it, because sometimes you think you have the best idea, but after having a group discussion you realize someone had a better one. I have been working in teams since the beginning of my career. At some places, they don't really favors that kind of work, but in general, I think it's a good thing.

What kind of people do you not work well with?

I work well with all kinds of people, but I usually have more success when I work with people who are extrovert.

How do you react to criticism?

I take criticism very well. Unfortunately, not enough employers take time to do it, but the times that happened to me, we discussed it and that allowed me to work better and to perform more.

What kind of environment do you feel most comfortable?

I prefer the type of environment where you are in contact with the public, but I like as well being in offices.

Tell me about how you plan your daily activities?

Usually, I like to plan my daily activities the day before, because that let me sleep in peace. Once I wake up, I make sure everything is good, and is I have to make a change I do it because I don't have to plan everything else.

How would you approach a task you have never done before?

I will try to use my logic for the first 5 minutes, and after, if I really don't know, I try to ask someone that knows hot to do it, to help me. I like to learn new things.

What did you do to learn the ropes at a previous job?

After the formation, I took the time to practice at home. For the things I could practice, I tried to visualize myself doing in it.

Tell me about a time when you were able to convince someone.

I remember that one time I was working at the Cineplex concession. I had to sale combos because that gave me small commissions. So, when people came to my cash to order a popcorn and a drink, I was always proposing a candy to complete the order because that makes a combo. Usually people didn't want it at first, but when I told them, the combos were giving them points, that helped me convince them.

How do you convince someone to change their mind?

I try to see, what they are looking for, and try to make a compromise that will make them think they won more than me.

I think that my transparency and my passion for communication are going to be the best values you're going to get out of me, that will help your company to continue to grow up.

How do you see yourself contributing to our team?

I see myself contributing to our team by helping those who need helps, I see myself giving advice to other people to help them grow and continue to do their work.
