Human resource management

How do you define the job?

Imagine people living in labour disputes every day, they go home exhausted and unhappy. For me, being a human resource manager means that every day I can bring light, solutions and smiles into the lives of employees. This position is for me one of the most important positions in a company. First, to bring in new employees who share the company's values and also to maintain harmony through labour relations.

How many years of experience have you had in human resource?

Although despite the desire to be, I have never really experienced being in the field of human resources, but I was for some time at a customer service office and ticket sales in Mont Tremblant. My work has been also sometimes transformed in the management of human resources because of a lack of workforce. I started working when I was 14 years old, so I have worked in the area of customer service for 5 years now. I have always enjoyed taking care of the demands, need and desire of the clientele. For me, business partners, customers and other employees are always at my priorities' center.

Describe your prior experience as human resource management?

What was your earliest work experience?

I always enjoyed working, as mentioned earlier I started working at a young age and since then it is important for me to earn my own money. I started working as a customer service clerk and I made sure to have a good turnover at the checkout and in the supply of the stock.

How did you motivate an underperforming team to achieve its goals?

In college, I have no other choice to do teamwork, which I don't necessarily dislike. I am a very organized person and I like to set up meetings and separate the work to be done. In addition, I like to adjust the work according to the personality that composes it, so everyone is comfortable. For example, once I was with teammates very poorly organized and not very motivated. So, I set up a meeting and instead of parting the work, we all did it together in order to stay focused and motivated together.

What makes you different from other candidates?

I am a very hard-working person and when I have a job I am passionate. I've always had an enterprising mentality, in the sense that I like to innovate, I like to bring ideas for change for the company and this since my very first job. Also, I take a lot of initiative. For example, in my last job as a bartender, my boss always liked me because I take initiatives. I always make sure that other employees don't run out of anything, just like customers. Without forgetting that I always guarantee a good functioning of the bar and the dining room. To conclude, I think what sets me apart from other candidates is my approach to people, I bring a softness while creating a bond of trust with customers, employees and business partners.

How do you react to criticism?

Criticism for me is not a problem. I think there are many ways to bring criticism and if it is a constructive criticism that can make me evolve then I appreciate it very much.

What kind of environment do you feel most comfortable?

The work environment is very important to me. A space where everyone respects each other, helps each other and is focused on motivations and successes, is an environment that I appreciate and where I feel comfortable.

How would you approach a task you have never done before?

First, I would be excited because I love to experience new things and to learn and build. Then, I would do severals research to understand how to properly perform the task requested.
