Imagine a person who's constantly craving for new challenges, projects and new ways to peak their curiosity. For me, being a Marketing specialist means creating new ideas and seeing them come to reality. This is a very large way of seeing things but a Marketing specialist is basically in charge of developing Marketing programs for a company. This includes analyzing trends, researching the market, building Marketing programs but also coordinating every project.
I have worked at an indoor skate park for most of my teenage years until now. I mostly learned how to become a leader in the workplace and how to analyze the upcoming trends on the market. Also, I have been working with some close friends of mine inside the action sport field. During this time, I created Marketing programs, campaigns, content, and I was also responsible for a collaboration with a French fashion brand.
I started to work at the young age of 13! In one summer I went from spending my days at day camp to having a full time job.
I usually try to bring a positive energy with me everywhere I go. The biggest part of the staff at my actual job is mostly composed of very young folks. When the team was underperforming, I was the person who came to motivate everyone to do their daily tasks, my argument was the following; If we get everything done, we will have time to do fun stuff like skating!
Whenever I put efforts into a project, it usually turns out to be really nice. Last summer, I had the mandate to film a video part for one my sponsors. All the hours of hard work gave an awesome result and it went further anyone's expectations. To this day, it still is one of the things I am the proudest of.
The main factor that makes me different from other candidates is my critical thinking. I definitively think in a more global way instead of saying yes or no. This means that my understanding of many topics is based around questions like why, who, what and when. My father taught me how to think differently since I was a kid which means that I am always looking for more profound and deep answers to my questions. I am also questioning questions.
Being a Marketing specialist means to apply ideas and turning them into real projects. More specifically, it means turning a brand vision into a revenue. To me, it means expanding my ideas into something bigger than myself.
I am constantly working with a team. Teamwork is the key to success, which means I hardly believe in self-made people. Either be it a school project or any work related task, teamwork makes a better result.
Normally, I'm able to work with everyone. I might have troubles working with people who are close-minded or arrogant. I believe that if you put obstacles in the conversation, there are going to be obstacles while making a project.
One of my goals is to constantly learn how to become a much better person. This means that criticism, even if it is negative or positive helps me to become better. I highly encourage people to tell me what they liked or disliked about my work or my personality.
I will respond with a short answer, I feel comfortable in an environment where I can professionally grow
I usually write down my weekly schedule in an agenda. Recently, I have switched to an online agenda. It is much easier to keep track with my assignments and projects to my opinion.
I would ask help from people who did this task before. To my opinion, asking help or information from the right people is a proper approach.
I made sure to ask my supervisor how to do the job properly. The fact that I asked made him believe that I wanted my work to be meticulous.
I was able to convince my sponsor to make me a pro model part (an action spot equipment piece which had my name on it) by putting my dedication into the company and the sport.
I don't think that changing someone's mind is easy but my way usually works well. I start by telling my point of view and expressing my intentions. I have to make sure that I talked in a persuasive way so that the person develops a reflection of their own. I may not always be able to change someone's mind but I can guarantee you that I can make them think differently.
I consider myself to be a great source of knowledge. Also, I am always craving for big challenges, I am hardworking, bilingual and creative.
I see myself bringing my leadership to your team to make a better work environment. As I said before, the fact that I am a hardworking person makes all the tasks I accomplish well-done.
