A marketing associate is responsible for planning and implementing marketing and advertising activities in order to help develop and maintain the company's business. The job requires excellent analytical and numerical skills as well as a capacity for creativity with great problem-solving skills in order to understand the extensive details of marketing and be familiar with ways to analyze market research and customers' behavior.
I didn't have any experience working as a marketing associate. However, I will be graduating from college in Business Management in which I have learned a lot about Marketing,
I haven't worked in any marketing position before, but I have been working 2 years in a candy store as a saleswoman. Though it is not provided the exact type of experience, I have developed others as well such as communication, sales strategy, etc. I believe that they will be helpful when I start working in a company.
My first job was selling candies in a candy store when I was 19.
When I was in college, I had many group projects to do. There was one time that I was in a group with 2 boys. They were lazy, and they did not cooperate with me to do the project. I sent them many emails explaining to them what we need to do as well as encouraging them to try their best. I tried to convince them that I am not able to do this alone and that I need their help to finish the project and to submit it before deadlines. In the end, they began to open up to me and shared their ideas. We finished it gradually together and had an acceptable mark.
When I was in college, I had a final oral presentation to do with my group. We worked really hard together, and we finished completing the project one week before the presentation. I was quite satisfied with our group's productivity, but I was nervous about the presentation. That's why I decided to contact my colleagues in order to meet up earlier before the presentation. Two hours before the presentation, we met to practice. In the end, the presentation went really well, and we had the best note amongst all the groups and it was an exceeded expectation for me!!!
I am serious while I work. I love playing and enjoying life but when it concerns work or study, I concentrate 100% and do my best. That's why I never submit late any projects. I always try to finish them earlier than one week, so I have time to revise in order to spot any mistakes to correct before submitting,
It means a lot to me because working in marketing has always been my dream when I was small. My mom has been working in accounting for more than 10 years and I always wanted to be like her, but she suggested not working in accounting as it always brings her headache. She advised me to work in marketing as I am good at communication. Since then, I have always wanted to try working in this domain, and become a marketing associate would be described as a dream come true to me.
During my studies, I have almost every group project in any course.
I can not work well with lazy people, passive people, last-minute people, and those who are not willing to cooperate and work together as a team.
I always try to react positively to criticism because I believe that by hearing others' critiques, I will be able to see my weaknesses and try to fix it in order to become better. As long as I still receive critiques means that I did not do my job well, that I am not perfect, and that I have things to change. I believe that the person who critiques me is someone who wants me to realize my weaknesses to overcome it. Though sometimes it may not be pleased to hear these complaints, I need to remind myself that criticism urges me to create a better version of myself.
I feel most comfortable with a sociable environment where everybody is opened to help each other, where I can consider all of my colleagues as my friends, where my boss is dynamic and is always willing to listen to employees, where everybody works towards the same goals.
I have a calendar where I note every single thing I need to do during a day from morning to evening. Whenever I finish something, I put a tick on it and move on to the next thing. If there are some works that I am not able to do on that day, I will move to the next day. But normally, I would try to avoid that because I have so many things to do on a day, so I do not want to make a delay of any activities of mine.
Firstly, I will try to understand the task on my own by reading it and searching it on the Internet. If I can not understand it, I will ask for help from my parents, my friends, my teachers, and so on. After that, I will execute that task by my understanding. If there is any problem with that, I will stop and find its cause to fix it. In the end, with the result that I have, I will check with my friends or my superior before submitting it. If there is no more mistake with the task, I will submit it. By the result received, I will note everything in my notebook about this task, so I will not forget the procedure for the next time.
At my previous job, I learned the ropes by watching the candy-making video with all the procedures. Also, while working, my boss and my colleagues explained to me what I need to do and showed me how to do it, so I need to remember and try doing it in order to provide the same result.
There was one time, I had a customer in my candy store. He was looking for gummy bears for his kids, but unfortunately, my shop has only hard candies. I tried to convince him to try our candies and showed him some really cute design inside each piece of candy. Luckily he really loved its taste and its concept, so he decided to buy our candies instead of gummy bears.
Firstly, I ask for what they are looking for. Then, I show them the advantages of the product or opinion. I compare them with what they are actually looking for in order to outstanding my idea so that they can easily think about it and change their mind.
I am an organized, serious, dynamic, and sociable worker. I always try to do my best at my job in order to never let down my superior's expectations. I believe I have what it takes to be a good marketing associate. I am willing to learn the ropes from my supervisor and to do better and better eventually. My goal is to contribute a part to the company's development.
I am capable of learning new things in a short amount of time. I am capable of finishing every project before deadlines, I am capable of communicating with others during a group project. I am capable of proposing new ideas for the company's strategies. I am capable of producing benefits for your team.
