How do you define the job?

Imagine ordering a product online and waiting over a week just for it to arrive, and it doesn't ever last a few hours. How frustrating that is not just because of the money invested but the waste of time and disappointment. Just so things like that don't happen companies need Quality Assurance Analyst so that the products could be tested and improved before being shipped.


How many years of experience have you had in management?

Currently I don't have any major experience in management because I am a student in business management at Ahuntsic College but over the past few years I have learned a lot about product management and how to keep up with the quality.


Describe your prior experience as quality assurance analyst?

Currently I have a lot of experience in retail business. I have worked at companies like Costco and Dollarama which allowed me to learn a lot because I would assume the duties of managers on various occasions.


What was your earliest work experience?

My first job has been repairing telephones and computers at a store in Plaza Côtes-des-neiges.


How did you motivate an underperforming team to achieve its goals?

When I used to work at Dollarama, we were once short-staffed and had a lot of work. So, I stepped up and decided to divide the task between the employees and gave them a goal, to finish before the tasks before closing, and it worked perfectly to my surprise.


In what ways have you exceeded expectations in the past?

There have been many occasions where I actually exceeded the expectations of my supervisors and managers. Once, I finished an important task before it was du, and am someone who learns quickly so, I was able to finish my training one month before the completion of my training.


What makes you different from other candidates?

What makes me different from other candidates is my focus, determination, and motivation. I am someone who actually likes to work hard and always give my 110 %.


What does being quality assurance analyst mean to you?

Being a quality assurance analyst means a lot to me because I understand that it's my duty to make sure that the products are in excellent working condition before being sold. I take a lot of proud in what I am doing, and I know that' what I would like to do for the rest of my life.


When have you worked in a team before?

All my life I have worked with other people which makes me someone very open and to talk too.


What kind of people do you not work well with?

I have a problem working with people who procrastinate a lot and do not value their work.


How do you react to criticism?

I am actually someone who likes criticism, and I am very attentive to criticism because it allows me to understand my mistakes, and makes me learn more from my mistakes.


What kind of environment do you feel most comfortable?

I feel comfortable in a respectful environment where you can put your ideas forward to be able to progress and learn.


Tell me about how you plan your daily activities?

I always plan my daily activities because like that I actually see what I have to do. I start from doing the important tasks first to the least important at last. By planning my tasks, I am able to work progressively, and don't have to do everything at once.


How would you approach a task you have never done before?

At first, I would ask for help to someone who has experienced with it, and would take notes. Then very carefully I would proceed with the task and give my best shot.


What did you do to learn the ropes at a previous job?

In my previous job I was able to learn just by watching other people and asking questions.


Tell me about a time when you were able to convince someone.

When I used to work at retail, I would have customers asking me questions about certain products, so I was able to convince them to use other products that the one they were going for by providing them information needed to decide.


How do you convince someone to change their mind?

I able to convince people by providing them the aftermath which could happen if they don't change their mind and just by thinking of the aftermath they are able to change their mind.


How would you be of value to our company?

I would be of value to your company because I am someone who has a wide knowledge of quality management, knows how to keep products up to quality. Plus I am someone very easy to work with who respect company values and always gives his best.


How do you see yourself contributing to our team?

I see myself contributing to the team by bringing an innovative approach to working. I will also contribute by being a quick learner and fast worker who can be a leader on difficult situations.
