How do you define the job?

A project manager is someone who plays the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing projects. For me, being a project manager means to organize, plan and being the responsible for the whole project including the project team and resources, the project budget, and the success or failure of the project.


How many years of experience have you had in business ?

I started planning and organizing project and event my senior year in high school. I was the senior class president and was in charge of planning fundraiser activity for our year's prom night. Since then, I have been organizing all sorts of project, but the most recent project I've worked on is the organisation of my parents wedding.


Describe your prior experience as project manager?

I started managing projects


What was your earliest work experience?

My first job was in retail, I started as a saleswoman in a clothing store. A year later I became team leader (a management position) in this same store. I worked in retail for 3 years, but I have also worked as a supervisor in a pharmacy and in a grocery store.


How did you motivate an underperforming team to achieve its goals?

As a supervisor, you need to be in synch with your team, if they don't work well, the work output is not good or if they're not motivated, it's my job to make sure the work is done properly and to help them achieve our common goals. In one of my previous jobs in retail, in middle of rush hour on Black Friday, my team was tired, overwhelmed and not performing. I gave them a quick speech en gave them positive comments to boost their motivation. It helped a lot and made the rest of the day more enjoyable (as enjoyable as can be on Black Friday)


In what ways have you exceeded expectations in the past?

In every project I was part of, I was doing everything in my power to make sure everything was going according to schedule and did regular follow-ups with my team. I always go the extra mile to make sure my projects are a success.


What makes you different from other candidates?

I am specialized in project managing. I am a very well organize person and I am a team worker.


What does being project manager mean to you?

A Project Manager is a person who organizes and manages resources that are necessary to complete a project. It also means that, as a Project Manager, I get to help people develop their skills and grow professionally and in some cases personally.


When have you worked in a team before?

In all my previous jobs, I had to work in teams. Being able to work well in a team is an essential requirement for a supervisor. As a supervisor you have to be able to motivate your team and hear what they have to say.


What kind of people do you not work well with?

I do not work well with stubborn people or people who think they know everything and don't listen to what other people have to say.


How do you react to criticism?

I welcome positive criticism, and I am always looking for ways to improve my management skills. In y work environment


What kind of environment do you feel most comfortable?

I feel most comfortable in a collaborative, friendly and challenging work environment. I think a good work environment is suppose to help you grow on a personal and professional level.


Tell me about how you plan your daily activities?

I keep a tight agenda of everything I have to do in my week and for the current and the following month. In this planner, I have every deadline of every task, assignment and project, it also contains every resources I will need and how much time is needed to complete those assignments.


How would you approach a task you have never done before?

If I am assigned a task I have never done before, I will make sure before starting that task, that I know exactly what is expected of me, what is this task and what resources will I need. I also ask some basic information to be exactly sure of where I am going and to be able to deliver as fast and as efficiently possible.


What did you do to learn the ropes at a previous job?

At every previous jobs, I kept a journal with all the key information, access codes and procedure I would need. In my training, asked a lot of questions and made sure that every aspect of the job I was showed was cristal clear.


How do you convince someone to change their mind?

To convince someone to change their min, I usually make them see the situation from my point of view or explain to them my opinion.


How would you be of value to our company?

I am a very hard worker, I work well in teams and I am someone who likes challenges. I like to get out of my comfort zone and managing events or projects are my strengths. I am a very well organized person which is a quality I think could benefit your company with your project management.


How do you see yourself contributing to our team?

I like to help colleagues and friends grow on a professional and personal level. I am a resourceful and skillful person and I think my past experiences as a supervisor could be useful to your team. I also have a business management degree which help me acquire a lot of skills on every level of business.
