Social Workers help different kinds of people with different kinds of problems. The problems can be related to their mental health, financial situations, health or social situations. They spent all day helping people who cannot necessarily find solutions themselves. They talk with them and try to propose some solutions. They also have follow up with their clients.
Social Workers can work at a lot of places. Here are some example of places they can work at : community correctional centers, reception and accommodation centers for disabled people, social service centers, youth centers, local development centers, CLSC, school service centers, dentition facilities and so many more places.

Here are some salary they can make : $22.08/hour on average in a large private seniors' accommodation establishments, $24.30/hour within non-profit community organizations, $21.21/hour as a victim officer in a CAVAC, $2429/hour on average in private secondary schools and $25.35/hour in the Quebec public service. To be a Social Worker you need to do two years in college and go to university. You need a Bachelor degree in Social Work. If they want a job related to psychological recommendations or with more responsibilities, they need a Master' in Social Work. But all Social Worker need to have a licensing for social workers.
