In the countryside, it is about the same thing, but it is more ambulance driving because there is a large area to cover.

In an ambulance, in the home of people and at the emergency of a hospital. More or less everywhere is your working place.


How can I become a paramedic?

In Quebec to be a paramedic you have to do a college degree of 3 years. You can also do a BAC at the university to be an advance care paramedic.


How much money do paramedics make?

In Quebec a paramedic can make between $24 to $35.84 an hour. After, that there are a lot of variables. They are premium if they do night shift or weekend shift or if they do advance care, that is a BAC diploma.


What kinds of additional training do paramedics need?

The additional training is generally provided by the employer if need. Sometime, paramedics need an update on there knowledge. If they want, they can also get a university degree.


What are the dangers of being a paramedic?

Sometimes, they get call on an accident on a highway it can be dangerous. Sometimes a patient can be very aggressive, or you can be exposed to dangerous virus like hepatitis, AIDS or something more dangerous. But that part of being a paramedic, if there is not risk there is no fun.


What are the chances that paramedics will be replaced by robots soon?

It can happen if the robots are able to make judgment call on a life and dead situation. But that is not going to happen soon.


What age do paramedics retire at?

It depends on the person. It is more a question dose the paramedic is still able to continue doing is work effectively.

In conclusion, the work of a paramedic is an exiting job, if you like action and not working between four walls, help people and save live.
