They in act character roles in movies or series.
They go to multiple auditions and then come back home and wait for a callback. Some of them practice their monologue at home for their upcoming audition. Some of them go to their regular job because acting hasn't yet become their full-time job.
Usually, they work in movie sets. They also have to go to auditions and compete with other actors for the same role.
You can go to acting school. You can also study Cinema. I think we have a cinema course in the CEGEP. Some people go to theatre school and then transition to acting school. Some people transition from other platforms like Youtube or Pro Wrestling. There are multiple ways to become an actor. If you're as confident as me, you can go to an audition without any formal training and let your amazing talent do the job.
It varies in accordance with the level the actor is in. Actor salaries can go up to millions of dollars. It is also important to note that small actors and newbies do not make that much. In the industry, you can have two extremes. Some actors make as low as 7000 dollars a year and are forced to have a second job.
Sometimes, they need physical training if they have a superhero movie or if they have to do some stunts. They can also learn to speak a new language or learn a new accent for their role.
Some actors do their own stunts, and it can be very dangerous. Being a public celebrity can also be dangerous for actors because they can be attacked by crazy fans.
I don't think that robots will replace human actors any time soon. They frequently use AI technology for special effects in movies. Robots and technology, in general, are used as tools to help the actors instead of replacing them.
There isn't a specific age to retire at. As long as the actor is physically fit, he can go on until he is seventy or eighty years old like Morgan Freeman. The only problem is that the majority of roles are made for young and middle-aged actors.
As you can see, being an actor is a lot harder than people think. Only a select few earn the absurd amount of money we hear about. We can say that it is a unique job and that it is not for the fainthearted people.
