A specialized educator can work in varies places like CLSC, DPJ, psychiatric hospital, CHSLD, schools, and more.
To be a specialized educator you need a diplomat in special education at CEJEP.
All depend on where you work. The wage is between $16 to $27 per hour.
All additional training depend on the job. Training for CHSLD, and training for school are very differents. But all specialized educator needs First Aid training.
The dangers that a specialized educator can face are when a person is disorganized. Some people are violent. They can bite you, punch you, throw objects, etc. They are possibilities to be hurt.
None, specialized educators are important, because they work for people with special needs. They need us in psychology way to help them in their life. Robot can’t replace us because they don’t have the capacity to think, and find solution quickly.
I don’t know when a specialized educator retire, but I think, when his bank accounts will allow him. When I retire, I will be proud of me, because I will help a lot of people. This is why I chose this job.
Actually, I study in my second year in special education. I also work in a shelter for autism, and intellectual, and physical disabilities. I worked in day camp for 4 years with a person with intellectual disabilities.
