A public relation is like a lower but for smaller problems. It's to make sure that there is a good relationship between everyone. The goal of the company is to have a good ambiance in the work environment. This job is to prevent toxic environment.

Public relations (PR) have ways to make sure the information of the company or a coworker is good and doesn't get misunderstood, especially towards the public, so the clients. Nowadays, it's even harder because a lot of the marketing is done by the media and the information is harder to control therefore it makes the job more challenging.

A typical day for a public relation is to communicate and interact with everyone that is connected with the company. The public relation makes sure that the information is well-transferred.


Where do public relations work?

Usually, this job is located in company or even in government. Of course, there is advantage in both job especially government because once you work for the government you all the advantages like having a good retirement, having a lot of vacation, having dental insurance... When you work in a small company the job gets more intense because there is fewer people working for company, so you are probably going to have less vacation.


How can I become a public relations?

To become a public relation you need to finish your studies at university. More specifically, you could get a variety of degrees like in journalism, communication and public relations. Also, to be a good public relation you need to be an effective writer and communicator. Having the chance of doing an internship it can benefit you because you will be getting practical experience.

The median salary of a public relation in 2020 is $62,810. This is considerate a normal salary in Quebec but with this salary you can't necessary live a super star life.


What kinds of additional training do public relations need?

There is additional training you can do to be more qualify, but it is not obligated. If it interests you you can continue your studies in university by doing a certificate, diploma, or bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communication, public relation, or anything that can be connected.


What are the dangers of being a public relations?

There is no danger physically compared to a police, but there is always risk that comes with your job. For a public relation there can be a crisis at any time, there is a lot of restriction no matter what kind of business you work for. Therefore, you always need to be ready for anything.


What are the chances that public relations will be replaced by robots soon?

In my opinion, public relations will never be replaced by robots soon because most of the jobs is communicating with people. Therefore, I believe robots can't replace everything, but in this case robots/internet can really help by simplifying the job.


What age do public relations retire at?

Normally, people retire after accumulating enough money to be to live comfortably. In Quebec, people usually retire at 62 years old because when you reach that age you normally have a lot of experience some people have more than 35 years of experience.


Conclusion

To conclude, doing this research has help me to really understand what it is like to be a public relation. After this summary, I am reassured with my future, I am going to finish my DEC like that I'll be able to go to university. In university, I'll be studying in industrial relations which is going to open to doors to my future job which is going to be public relations.
