First of all, programming is still pretty new in the industry. Each year, developer create new forms or way of programming so that their work is more efficient or to solve current problems. The additional training could basically be to keep up with the new form of programming script like new HTML tab and more. You could also specialized in a more specific type of programming to have a much higher chance of entry-levels position who are more advantaging.
The principal danger that could experience a typical programmer is the experience of stress related to working long hours indoors in front a computer screen and because of short deadline where you are required to finish your programming no matter what. You could also develop musculoskeletal pain by sitting for long hours on office chairs.
Computer programmer are in less favorable of being replaced any time soon by robots. One of the main purpose of programming is to translate an idea into computer language(binary). So, I don't think that artificial intelligence could be able to do this in a very long time.
Computer operating is still considered a new born job. 85% of them are aged under 40 years old. One of the main reasons is because if you don’t update yourself regularly, you will be deprecated. This domain is in constant development and new technologies as well as program are created every year and the old ones becomes obsolete. They are no average age of retirement for this job, is it more about if you are willing to keep up with the constant growing of the industry, because the youth tend to learn faster than the elders.
In conclusion, computer programming is a great job in constant growing that the majority of other the world depend on. I am still in my first year in this domain, but it has really peaked my curiosity and interest. I am trilled to learn more. I recommend this job for everyone passionate with technology because it is a pillar of the society of tomorrow.
