Being a teacher means taking care of our future generation education. You are ask to follow a particular subject or grade level during a full school year. This allows teacher to follow the life of many students and help them progress as they should. Basically, the life of a teacher is sharing knowledge, testing the class knowledge and making sure the school year go smoothly for everyone.


What do teachers do?

Teachers are asked to come in every morning and do their best to make it fun and entertaining for the class to learn the course. They prepare every class with lesson plans, prepare tests and evaluations and correct them. They have to do a lot of preparation before and after class.


What do teachers do on a typical day?

On a typical day, a teacher arrives at 7 o'clock and makes sure everything is ready for this particular day of class. Around 8 o'clock, the class arrives and get ready to learn what the teacher has for them. From eight to dinner time the teacher has to make sure the class follows and understand the work given. After diner time, the class comes back for a shorter period but still need to stay focused on the teacher. After class hours, the teacher needs to either correct the evaluation or prepare the future ones. For some school, teachers need to stay even longer for meetings with the administration or other school need.


Where do teachers work?

Teachers work in the school they have been assigned. In that school, they either have their own classroom or different ones. Often time they also have a desk in the teacher lounge.

To become a teacher you will need a college degree in education. Receiving your bachelor's degree in elementary or secondary education takes a minimum of five years. In the process, you will be asked to do a teaching internship in the school of your choice.

Teachers salary has always been a hot topic in Canada. The average salary for a Canadian teacher is 68 466 dollars. More experienced teachers make more than less experienced teachers.

Even if robots presents an interesting way of teaching things, actual teachers show a human touch to education that is very important in the development of a younger generation.Teaching is a human to human connection that is irreplaceable.

Teachers retire at whatever age they want to. Teaching do not ask much physicality so teachers can really have long career without losing the pace. Often times, they gain more and more experience, and it simply becomes easier for them year after year.

In conclusion, being a teacher is a human task. It asks you to understand the youth and be there for them a whole school year. It asks you to fully commit to your class and give your best, so they can do theirs.
