They can work in the field, as said in between police officers, which means the outside of the police station, so it can be in a park or a store. They can also work in public or private properties of people. All of the working place depends on the types of calls the police officers are called on.
The process to become a police officer is quite simple. The hardest part of aiming for this job is the physical shape needed for the job. You need to be a good student with a clean background. You must have good grades. You must complete your five years of secondary (if in Quebec) and do 3 years of Police Technology at a Cegep. Then, you must follow a harsh training of fifteen weeks at the Police School. After all those steps, you can apply to be a police officer at you the police station you wish working for.
The average police officer salary in Canada is about $81,007 in a year. Which comes to around $33.57 an hour! This number can grow bigger depending on the number of hours, of the extra time and the years spend as a police officer. So, police officers are living a wealthy life with this salary.
Police officers have to go through a lot of training before and after being a police officer. They can specify themselves after a couple of years of service, which means that they will be following additional training to obtain this new position. Every police officer needs to keep their technique and intervention plan up to date with additional training offered by a superior police officer. These sums up the additional training a policeman, must do on an obligatory basis, but nothing is preventing them from learning more outside of the job self.
The job of a police officer is filled with risk. Everyday of work is putting yourself in risk, because you will never know what you can expect when you are going to work. Everyday equals a new danger for yourself and your co-workers. Because police officers must protect and serve the society, they must put themselves at risk to maintain this harsh duty. They can face a serial killer, an active shooter or even a group of the organized crime, like the Mafia. So, the job a police officer can be a dangerous one, but don't worry, they are trained and ready for those situations.
The chances that police officers will be replaced by robots is extremely low. A major part of a police officers job is establish on social contact, the main reason we have police officers, except for respecting the law, is making social contact with society. Police officers need to help the population by mixing what to do and what to think as a human being. So, the chance of human policemen being replace with robots is very, very low.
Usually, the average policeman takes his retirement after twenty years of service. So, you can retire early as a police officer and still be able to live a good and wealthy life afterward. For example, if you finish your grade seven (secondary five in Quebec), go straight to Cegep in Police Technology and finish by completing your training in Nicolet, you can be a police officer at twenty or twenty-one year old. Which means that you can retire at forty or forty-one year old.
To finish, as a Police Technology student, I am in my second year of learn more about his fantastic job that is the one of a police officers. If everything goes well for me, I should be finished in two years, which means I could be ready to apply as a police officer in a police station that I like to go work there.
