They choose a subject matter that interests reader, they write fiction or non-fiction through different kinds of texts like a novel, a script, a biography and much more. They develop written content for various types of media, including advertisements; books; magazines; movie, play, and television scripts; and blogs. They work with editors so that their work can be eventually published and recognized. They also proofread text, liaising with other professionals such as printers, photographers and artists, marketing and distributing work, researching and developing contacts, seeking publishing contracts, negotiating terms and conditions of contracts, they do general administration. They are multitask!


What do writers do on a typical day?

Generate ideas, seek ideas through other artistic forms and nature, observe their environment, travel, go to coffee's shops, embrace the struggles and begin with the hard part as they take care of their body and mind before writing, writing badly, repeat the task without being afraid to repeat the writing itself, do a lot of research, stay in touch with their employers, etc.

They can write from home and be self-employed, so they can decide their schedule and choose their deadline.


How can I become a?

Get a high school degree. Get a writing education. Get an internship and build a portfolio. You have to prepare yourself to be very hardworking and been really dedicated for what you do, because you cannot become successful if you are not willing to double down.

To know the environment and how the work of an author can be lead to concrete, he can do a variety of jobs. There are many dangers when you are a writer but not the kind of dangers you encountered when you are a military soldier, and you go to war. It is more likely to be health issues due to sitting all day. You cannot move when you write, so you can suffer from illnesses of sedentary lifestyle. Migraine causes by eye strain can be a problem if you fixed all day a computer lit screen. Writers are more at risks being depressed, suicidal or to suffer from mental illnesses due to a lack of social life. You tend to be solitary and isolate yourself and it is not helping to share love, solidarity, friendship: All you need to feel grounded. Also, you may lose your identity as you immerse yourself into one of your characters.


What are the chances that writers will be replaced by robots soon?

There is little chance that writers will be replaced soon by robots. Robots simply cannot reproduce the beauty of man's mind and especially imitate the imagination and the perception we used to understand the world that we live in. Creativity cannot be reproduced by AI, because our relationship with our environment and how we process emotions are distinctions of humans amongst other terrestrial animals. The fact that we can live the moment and appreciate what is around us as living beings are what makes us able to be unique in a way that a machine cannot be or apply to its automatic functions.


What age do writers retire at?

A writer never retired unless his death occurs. That is why many authors will be published after their death because their work could be unfinished and that is what we call posthumous work. Creativity never stops and as long as we can write, we will!
