Psychologists will meet with around 3-4 patients each day and talk in order to assure their positive growth and fosters their positive mental health. Afterward, they have to summarize the session and make plans for the next one. In general, psychologists have an artistic liberty with the direction they are taking their careers in.
The majority of psychologists works as researchers and faculty for universities and governmental and non-governmental organizations. The rest simply work wherever their expertise is needed whether it's in schools for the students, in hospitals for patients and workers, correctional facilities for the prisoners, etc. Sometimes, employee assistance programs need psychologists for their offices. A lot of psychologists also open their own private offices and can collaborate with others to create a community.
To become a psychologist, you will need patience and courage because the process is very long. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in psychology, you will need to attend graduate school in order to obtain master's degree and/or doctoral degree. It is a very long process because graduate work toward a doctoral degree can lasts around five to seven years!
