Coasts Guard officers works mainly on the ocean, but they also operate on rivers. They work on the coast or in deep sea to help others or to simply patrol.
Becoming a Coast Guard-officer can take up to 4 years of training to accomplish. There are diver courses to take while being at the Officer training Program. There is in class learning, hands-on training at the college, highly modernized marine simulators and also practical experience aboard Coast Guard vessels at sea. The program focuses on marine safety and environmental protection, and prepares officer cadets to lead and succeed. You can also learn marine engineering and marine navigation
Coasts Guard Officers can make up to $50,000 a year in their first year as an officer and it can go higher as the experience grows. As an Engineer, you can make up to $90,000 a year.
