To be a firefighter is a dangerous profession, they try to save thing like houses or materials good and protect people due to fire.
A lot of people think firefighter only to put out a fire, that is a minimal part of this job. They are first aids in other words they are the first to arrive when something happens. That's why sometimes they do first care to person who has an accident. Moreover, when something bad happen they do some public relation that's for example when they have to said Mr,x is died, to his family or thing like that. When they didn't have call they work out or learn some new specific skills.
To begin the day, firefighter check their equipment in the start of their shift. After that, they eat breakfast, sometimes some firefighters are assigned for cooking for the crew. After breakfast they do the daily activity, like put out fire, medical care, work out, some prevention and cleaning the fire station.
Regular firefighters work at fire station, but you can also work at school to teach the firefighter profession. Some people also do the two work to the fire station and in their free day they teach. The advantage of teaching is if you have an injury you can continue to be a firefighter, but you help the population in other ways. You form the next generation of firefighters
The typical path to become a firefighter is you did one year to a firefighter school where you learned a lot of specific skills after that, you go to cegep and do the fire safety program.
