It's not very dangerous to be an accountant but you have to be attentive because your mistakes can count a lot and it can be stressful if you have a deadline to do something.
I think that right now it's impossible that accountants would disappear because we need human to communicate with clients and to enter information in the system, although we are using some programs to help us accomplish every day tasks.
There is not a particular age, I think it depends on at what age you start and if you have enough money to stop working.
I only have one year left of cegep to get my diploma and I can't wait to finish and be full time on this job.
