Nurses work in a variety of places. A nurse can work in hospitals, health centers, colleges, military camps, retirement home, corporation workplaces and more.
In Quebec, you can apply to the Nursing Program at a cegep. The program takes three years incorporate with some internship in medical institution. Also, you can have a diploma of science or liberal arts who take two years to have it and apply at a university in Nursing who takes three years to do it.
The salary ranges of a nurse varies according to her specialty. For example, an oncology nurses gain $75 286 per year, a psychiatric nurse gain $81 798 per year, a neonatal nurse gain $93 444 per year. It depends on the specialty that the nurse have, but if we are more general, a nurse gain between $24,08 and $54,78 per hour.
As you can see, being a nurse requires one of the three choices of program that I gave upper. Also, during the nursing school, you will have to do an internship.
