This article is for everyone who's ever thought of becoming a physiotherapist or just want to learn a little bit more about this job. I want to do this job in the future and this is why, I want to try helping people who may want to know more about the subject.
It is really gratifying because you know you've helped at least one person. It makes you feel good everyday.
You help people with muscular problems feeling better. They can help a lot of different clients. They can be mentally ills, injured from a sport or even pregnant women.
Their main job is to treat patient, but they also have to do paperwork. They will have to answer their e-mails, referring their patients to other specialists if they need to and make plans for each of their clients.
There's a lot of different places where physiotherapists can work. Actually, their workplace will depend on their expertise's field. It can be in a sport clinic, a hospital, at home, etc.
Here, in Quebec, you have to complete a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in physiotherapy. If you're from outside of Quebec, a lot of different diplomas can also be accepted.
According to the Government of Canada, the salary can go from $24,00/h to $49,00/h.
They have to do internships while they are still at school. After that, they can assist to conferences, formation and talk with colleagues to improve their techniques to be the best.
There's not a lot of danger for this job. The only thing you have to be careful is to not work too much or you'll overload yourself.
They are really low. It's mainly a social work and robots cannot to those types of jobs.
It's approximately the same as every other typical job, which is around 60 years old. Of course, you can retire sooner or later if you want to.
As you may know, being a physiotherapist is my main goal, for now, for the future. I'm at my last session here in college and I'm still waiting for the answers from the different universities. I think that these answers can help people interested to this field confirm or infirm their initial idea.
