Have you ever thought about living your life from drawing, painting or creating your own stuff? This article is for you, it shows you what the life of an artist is. It shows you the daily tasks that an artist will do during a normal day. It can inspire you to do it professionally or in a hobby way. It explains to you a job that is not very common in life. Being an artist can be a real job.

Being an artist, as they said in the article, is a lot of work alone in your workshop. You face your canvas and try to find a unique way to express yourself. You usually spend some years in art school to learn techniques to art. Then, you try to find gallery and place to show your work. It's not a stable job but you can also teach people in art school and have more stability.

They try to express throw different medium their perception of life or to release a problem in society. They work to find their own language to talk to people.


What do artists do on a typical day?

They will do a lot of things. One day, they can work on the promotion of their work. Another day, they can work on the documentation of their work. Their main occupation is to work on their project. An artist never stop working


Where do artists work?

An artist work normally in a workshop. It is normally a local that you can rent or bought to install your material and your work tools. It can be in an old factory that is dedicate to this or in another type of buildings


How can I become artist?

There are two-way to become an artist. The first is to go in art school to learn about art and different technique. The second is the self-schooled where you learn by yourself. These two ways can all gave you access to the museum and the expo and maybe one day to success.


How much money do artists make?

There are no fix salary. It is true to say that is really hard to live from this, but we can live a descent life with an artist salary. It can go to $30,000 to millions. You can not depend on this, on the salary to live but instead on your passion and your resourcefulness.


What kinds of additional training do artists need?

Being an artist is to be a business person. They can take financial class or advertising course. Being an artist is not only creating art, it is also about promoting, sale and every steps that a company can go into.


What are the dangers of being artist?

The real danger of being an artist is poverty. It the art history there are a lot of stories about poor artists who live in bad life conditions and never face success. There are also stories of artist who lost everything after being successful.


What are the chances that artists will be replaced by robots soon?

Robots are already replacing a lot of tools, like with the program Photoshop where you can do a lot of things with only a computer. Then, I think there is a chance but there is no way that technology will replace the humanity that can be feeling in an artwork made by a real artist.


What age do artists retire at?

I think an artist don't really retire. He can slow down his production, but he will never stop from doing it. An artist can get some big opportunities in a certain moment of his career and learn from them. He can get big exposition only at the end of his life. So there are no time for an artist to retire.


Conclusion

After reading this article, I was more able to imagine myself in this world as an artist. For now, I'm finishing my pre-university in visuals arts and I got accepted at UQAM in a baccalaureate in visuals arts. I made three expositions by myself and I wish to make some other.
