How can I become nutritionist ?

To become a nutritionist, you must be a member of the Professional Order of Dietitians of Quebec. To be part of this order, in addition to a membership fee, you must have obtained your diploma from a recognized institution in Quebec (University of Montreal, McGill University or Laval University which offer the program). For people who obtained their diploma elsewhere in Quebec (another province or country), other requirements must be met to obtain this title. At the University of Montreal, the program lasts 3 1/2 years and combines periods of lectures with periods of internship. These internships can be in a clinical setting (hospital, outpatient clinic, etc.), in a public setting (communication, education, industry, community setting, etc.), in management (hospital, catering, community setting, etc.) or in research.
