Business lawyers had to prepare a many documents related to business operations. They had to talk to many people who are related to their case or because they need information on the case, so they spend a lot of time on their phone. They can also talk to other business lawyers from other companies to negotiate or to talk about the case they are handling.
Most business lawyers can work in a law firm, but they can also work directly for a company (when it's a big one) and sometimes they can work in their own firm when they had one.
The academic path to become a business lawyer is quite long and difficult. In fact, you had to study three years of full-time law school. During theses three years, you had to pass all the exams Then, when you had finished those three years from the law school and had pass all the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) you also had to pass a bar examination. After all thesis exams you could become a business lawyer, but if you want to work in the United States of America, you had to pass a bar examination in each state in which you want to practice your job.

For an additional training, you can complete elective classes in business law and that may increase knowledge of the field. Because in the beginning, all lawyers have the same training, it's after passing the bar that they improve in a particular area. Elective business Law classes may cover topics like commercial paper, insurance law, deals, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting, and partnerships.
Becoming a business lawyer involves dangers for mental health due to the enormous pressure that begins at the school, but also due to the enormous workload.
