It's someone that is always on the move. They are in costumer service, in a very social space. They are going to be interacting with many different people from diverses places in the world.

They are there to serve the people on the flight, to bring drinks and food and assure the comfort of the passengers to make sure they have a great experience.


What do flight attendants do on a typical day?

The main idea of their day at their work is to walk around the passengers of the flight and to make sure everything and everyone were in control to assure a good service, comfort and environment on the plane. The clients have to be satisfied. Their day starts early, they probably spend a lot in the airport waiting to board and the rest of their time is spent in the air doing their job.


Where do flight attendants work?

They always work in a plane with the passengers who need to be taken care of by them.


How can I become a flight attendant?

You can get the permit online with the airline website and submit your application. You have to complete your high school diploma and possess communication skills.


How much money do flight attendants make?

70 000 yearly and it can raise higher than 100 000 depending on the experience, the quality and the length of the flight.


What are the dangers of being a flight attendant?

Crashing and possibly getting hurt and dying. They can also be victims to terrorist attacks


What are the chances that flight attendants will be replaced by robots soon?

The chances are probably highs because it could be simple to have a robot who serves the drinks, products, food and other things the passenger could need. But, it can also be complex if human contacts are necessary to adjust something, if the serving is more complicated than what the robot and his capacities can do or, if the passengers want a human service with contact and better understanding. It's very likely to happen because there is already automated robots in costumer jobs, so it can probably be done for planes as well.


What age do flight attendants retire at?

A Flight Attendant can work until the age of 65, the average retirement age everywhere, but many choose to retire earlier like 55 or 58.

Despite my interest in this job, I don't plan on making it my future career, but I wanted to inform myself and share it with you if ever you have interests or planning on making it your job one day!
