They start with a report of what happen during the shift before, to know if there is any new details about the patients, and they count the medication in the medical cart to make sure their is no missing medication, and after that, they go check on the patients they been given for the shift, to give the medications and go check if they need anything, The nurses help distribute the meals that have to be given. After dinner, the nurses start to go for the lunch break one after the other so there is no nurse missing on the floor. Finally, they tell the head nurse what happen during the shift and do the count of the medications in the medical kart with the nurse of the next shift before leaving, and even after all that sometimes there is not enough nurses for the next shift so some of them has to stay another 8 hours.
They can work either in a hospital, elder home or private clinic
You must complete a nursing program in college or university and pass the medical order exam to officially be a nurse

It all depends on the floor and hospital you wan to work, in those specific cases another nurse will train you 1 or 2 shifts, so you get how it works and every 6 months the nurses get an update or refresh of the rules and new the things in the hospital so, they can always stay inform of what is happening
A nurse can be expose to chemical and biological substances that can be consider as dangerous, physically it can require a lot of times to use the strength and some patients can be aggressive so knowing self defense is important. Psychological it can be very exhausting because of the patients that can be verbally aggressive and even the families that can be disrespectful so being patient is very important
There are no chances because even if it saves time and money, the human contact between a patient and the healthcare is too important and can not be replaced by a robot
It always depends but the majority retires between 59 and 65 years old
Personally, I am just beginning my nurse program in September 2026, so I still have a lot of study to do, but I am motivated to become a nurse and after finishing my program, I want to work in different places in the world as a nurse, basically a travel nurse.
