Then, he will go in the field to collect information and supervise the operations. Usually, in the afternoon, he will go inside and work with the information collected in the morning.
Mining technicians usually work in mines. They can work in underground mines and open-pit mines. Those are usually situated far from big cities and population. Mining technicians can also work in a stone-pits, in road construction or in consulting engineering.
To become a mining technician in Quebec, you have to complete your highschool to be able to apply in mineral technology. Then, you have to finish your three years, and on your last year you have to select which specialty you want to do.
