The daily journey of a physical therapist is about creating set of exercises that will help patients recovers from theirs injuries, manage their pain and improve their mobility. They analyse the patient's condition, practice manual therapy, and, finally offer a diagnostic.


Where do physical therapists work?

Physical therapists work in a variety of places. In fact, they can work in public or private spaces. The differences between these two workplaces are the clientele, the objective, the incomes, etc. The public sector offers jobs in public clinics, hospital, sports teams, nursing homes and many more. On the other hand, the private sector offers job in private clinics, home health, private fitness centers, etc.


How can I become a physical therapist ?

If you wished to become a physical therapist, you have a certain educational path to follow. In Canada, after finishing high school you have two choices, either you enter the Physical Therapy Technique or the Science Program at a college. Then, you will have to go to university in a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Physical Therapy.

After finishing university, there is no additional training for a physical therapist because you are already one. The physical therapist can still extend his/her knowledge on different topics to gain specific skills and continue his/her education.

The main danger of being a physical therapist is the risk of injuries. In fact, while practicing manual therapy and exercises on a patient a physical therapist can get hurt easily for many reasons. There's not much chance of that happening because the job of a physical therapist is too technical and human to be replaced by robots.
