They prepare the exam room by making sure everything is cleaned and check the conditions of the equipment. They analyse the profile of the patient, and then they welcome them. They explain the procedure of the patients while asking exam related questions. After doing that they start the exam and when they are done, they make sure of the quality of the images and send them.


Where do ultrasound technologists work?

The typical workplace is either a clinic or a hospital. Ultrasound Technologist can also choose if they want to work in they public health care system were they have a Union, or they can work in the private health care system were the pay is much more.

Ultrasound exams are very manual it isn’t like a scan, IRM or endoscopy.

Most Ultrasound technologists retire at 60 years old.
