In general, a pharmacist will prescribe by giving medication to a patient that has been given the order by a doctor or health practitioner. They will tell the patients how to use and take the medication. A pharmacist will review the client's past and give the best medication for him. He will work with doctor, nurse and other health practitioner.
When you start working, you will do the inventory of all the medicament that you have. After, you will start giving medicament to patients. You will tell them how to use it. You will do that most of the time. Sometimes, you will work with doctors, and you will be on the computer doing some tasks.
A pharmacist can work at the hospital, at a pharmacy or at a clinic. In a hospital, you may face more people and have more work to do because of the number of people that are there. In a pharmacy or a clinic they will be fewer people, but still you will work.
In secondary school, you need your mathematics, physic and chemistry to enter the program of health science in Cegep. You need to get at least a cote R of 33 to go to the university. After, you have three to four years left at school.
A pharmacist who has just graduated from university makes about 60$ per hour. If he works in the private area, He can make about 100$ per hour. But at the beginning, he will start with 60$ per hour, and it can go up at 110$ per hour.
You need to master software and be at ease with the computer.
