What do teachers do on a typical day?

In the morning, before class, a teacher plan their class for the day. At, the beginning of class, the teacher welcomes the students and explain the class plan for the day. Then, the teacher oversees the unfolding of the class while students do team assignments or individual assignments. The teacher ends the class by explaining what to expect next class and give out homework. The students might have finished their school-day, but not the teachers. They have to plan the next class and correct the students works.


Where do teachers work?

Generally, teachers spend the majority of their time in classrooms. In addition to classrooms, teachers may also have dedicated spaces for planning, grading, and collaboration with colleagues. These spaces, such as faculty lounges, workrooms, or offices, provide teachers with opportunities to prepare lessons, grade assignments, and engage in professional development activities.


How can I become a teacher?

The standard method for obtaining a teaching diploma is to take the four-year certified Bachelor of Education program leading to a teaching diploma for preschool, elementary school, secondary school and vocational training. A career change in teaching is also possible, as there are master’s degree programs in education that lead to a teaching diploma.
