What is it like to be a teacher?

Being a teacher is a very difficult job. It’s also very stressful because you got to take care of an entire class by yourself. It’s fun to be a teacher because you create good relationships with the students, and you help them to learn. At the end of the school year, you can see the accomplishment they did, and you can make sure they are proud of themselves.

What do teachers do?

You need to deal with making sure all of the students understood the assignments while correcting and taking care of them because they are kids. Teachers need to plan their classes in advance and plan fun activities so the students stay focus. They have a corpus they need to follow to make sure they teach the kids everything the government wants them to know.

What do teachers do on a typical day?

They set the class for the students before they arrive. They write on the board the plans for the day and prepare the activities. Then, when the students arrive, they start teaching to them and to activities. At the end of the day, when they are all gone, sometimes they have teacher reunions or they correct the exams of their students.

Where do teachers work?

Teachers work in a school. Some work in a primary school and others in a secondary school or university. They each have their pros and their cons. The pros of working in a primary school is that you get your own class with the same students all year. That way, you get to bond with them and create a good student-teacher relationship with them. The con’s are that you need to deal with children’s conflicts and crises. The pros of working in a secondary school is that to get to know a lot of students during the year, and you are with older people, so sometimes it is more dynamic. The cons are that you will need to deal with teenagers, and they can be really hard.

How can I become a teacher?

You need to have your primary diploma, your secondary diploma, a DEC diploma, and they you do a BAC in teaching at university for four years. During those four years, you will be doing internships to learn the job.

How much money do teachers make?

When they start, they make about 55 thousand. At their highest, they make about 92 thousand.

What kinds of additional training do teachers need?

They have courses about how to teach and how to deal with students. They also have internships where they really learn the job by doing it for a short period of time.

What are the dangers of being a teacher?

You can get very attached to students and be sad when you have to let them go. Also, sometimes they are students with difficulties or a behaviour problem. These kids can be harder to deal with.

What are the chances that teachers will be replaced by robots soon?

I don’t think teachers will be replaced by robots because the foundation of the aching is the human relation the teachers and the students create.

What age do teachers retire at?

They can retire very old, but most of them retire around the age of 60. Some will retire gradually. They will start by working only four days a week, then 3, then 2, then 1 until they retire.

Conclusion

Right now, I am finishing my DEC. I will star university in august. I will be there for four years. My plan is to work in a primary school.
