Accountants work in variety of places. They can work in their own workplace, helping numerous clients with their financial problems. They can also work in an office or even for a business, doing financial managements for the company.

To become an accountant you have to follow these typical steps. You should take math courses and study Accounting or a related field at college or university. Look for internships or a small business to learn practical skills. After you graduate you can either go to work or pursue certifications like "Certified Public Accountant (CPA)", which can open up a wide range of career opportunities, higher earning potentials and even career advancement.

What are the chances that accountants will be replaced by robots soon?

The chances that accountants being replaced by robots are kind of low because it requires skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, communications and understanding the real world problems to be an accountant. Technology is constantly advancing, and instead of replacing them, it's definitely making accountants work much easier. It helps with finishing repetitive tasks faster, and enhances their productivity and efficiency.


What age do accountants retire at?

Retirement age for accountants may vary, but it's usually around late 60s or even 70s. After they retire, they typically have gained a lot of valuable experience throughout their career such as handling difficult financial issues, worked with various people and clients and much more. In terms of impact that they've had, they've contributed a lot in the success of businesses that they've had worked with and helped a lot of clients with their financial difficulties. As for regrets, some might regret on opportunities that they've had missed on.
