Introduction

This article is useful to read if you want to know more about accounting or, if you are currently studying Finance or administration. I am motivated to write this article because this is what I want to do in the future and this is an interesting subject.

It depends on the season because during the tax season, the usual for an accountant is long days and weekend work because they have to get their clients' finances in order. However, outside of this busy season, things slow down significantly so accountant have more free time, so it means that accounting careers offer some variety in the yearly schedule.

Normally, an accountant review and analyse financial records and keep track of a company's or individual's finances.

It can change every day, but it mostly involves calling their clients if there is a problem in their account, they do some financial analysis and keep recording of their clients account. They also have meetings with their colleagues and boss.

An accountant usually work in an office. His office can be in a firm of accountants or in a company. He can also work from his house.


How can I become an?

In Quebec, you have to study administration in a cegep for a minimum of 2 years. After that, you have to go to university for a minimum of 3 years to obtain a Bachelor in administration. The final step before becoming an accountant is to pass an CPA exam.


How much money do accountants make?

The salary depends a lot, but usually, the lowest salary for an accountant is around $25 per hour and the highest can be around $58 per hour. A good accountant can do around $100 000 a year.


What kinds of additional training do accountants need?

An accountant doesn't need any additional training but an internship is always a plus for company when they hire you.


What are the dangers of being an?

At the moment, there is no danger in being an accountant.


What are the chances that accountants will be replaced by robots soon?

Robots are going to help accountants with their tasks so the accountant can focus on more important task, but they are saying that we will always need human accountant. However, I think some of them are going to lose their jobs because robots are going to be able to do a lot of things so maybe not soon but in 20 years, I don't think we will need accountant as much as we need them now.


What age do accountants retire at?

Some accountants in firm retire between 58 and 60 years old, but you can also retire at 65 years old.


Conclusion

At the moment, I'm applying to go to university in Finance. My plans are to finish my studies and find an accountant job in a company where I will be able to travel around the world.
