It's very interesting to be working in this field, because you can do multiple tasks that are different from one technician to another on this field. If you are interested in doing something that involves being around people and help them, this can be your winning ticket.
Being a medical Electrophysiology technician is very interesting because you help people by doing different types of medical exams. It can be very difficult if you work at an emergency station, or it can be very relaxing if you work in a brain or muscle sphere of the medical exams. You're doing your job and afterwards, you have to discuss it with a doctor to explain what is that you have found wrong or good when you were doing your patient's medical exam.
Electrophysiology technicians use electricity to verify if there is something wrong about the person's heart, brain or muscles. They can predict brain problems, and they can find why this muscles aren't working.
They go to work around 8 a.m. and go home around 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. if they're being on morning schedule. If they're on evening schedule, they go to work at 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. and they go home at 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. When at work, they do medical exams on patients and talk with doctors about their medical exams. During their job, they speak with patients about their lives and what is wrong with them to be coming to do the medical exam. By talking to the patients, the technicians make a connection to do their exam easily.
They work at medical institutions like clinics or hospitals.
You can become one by doing a 3-year-long technique at college.
They make around 40 dollars per hour on average, but you start at 26 dollars per hour.
They need to do a 1-year-long training during their studying on college, but afterwards, when finishing their studies, they don't need to have any other additional training, they can go on the working site directly and they, are fully prepared to do their job.
You need to be aware of the different types of patients that you will be working with.
The chances are very little, because the technician is doing a lot of movement work and talking.
Electrophysiology technicians retire on average at 55-65 years old, but you can retire when you want.
